What is the GOLDEN VISA?

It is a Residence visa for the Acquisition of Real Estate in Spain that authorizes residence for a period of 365 days if the sale has already been formalized or a residency for 6 months if the sale has not been formalized, but there is a pre-contract with a guarantee of its compliance by deposit or other formal means in public deed (for example “contrato de arras”).

This visa allows you to reside and work throughout the national territory.

Who can apply for the GOLDEN VISA?

The applicant  must  be  18  years  old  or  older and not  be illegally  present  in the Spanish  territory  or be  listed  as rejectable in the territory of countries with which Spain has signed an agreement to that effect. It does not apply to EU citizens or to nationals of countries to whom EU law applies, for being beneficiaries of the rights of free movement and residence. The grant of the investor or entrepreneur visa will be a sufficient title to reside and work in Spain during its term. Meeting the requirements, the investor can be accompanied by:

  • The spouse or related person with similar affective relationship.
  • Children underage or older who, depending economically on the holder, have not constitute themselves family unit.
  • Ascendants in charge.

In what period can I apply for the GOLDEN VISA?

It must be requested up to 90 days before the desired date of entry into Spain.
